Friends and supported Organisations of Nick Oneill Art

The inspiration for all Nicks work comes from the amazing creatures found in our oceans , skies and on land . Unfortunately many of these fish and animals are endagered and under threat from over fishing , illegal hunting and pollution , with Nicks favourite subjects - sharks under particular threat from the trade in shark fins , fishing and baited drums used to try to protect beaches . Whenever possible Nick has used his work to help organisations that work to protect these very important creatures .

WDC, Whale and Dolphin Conservation is the leading global charity dedicated to the conservation and protection of whales and dolphins. We defend these remarkable creatures against the many threats they face through campaigns, lobbying, advising governments, conservation projects, field research and rescue. Our vision is a world where every whale and dolphin is safe and free.

NIck Auctioned the original painting "Blackfish" with the proceeds going to the WDC .

The Deep is an education and conservation charity and as such, conservation is at the heart of everything we do. It is because of our loyal supporters that we are able to carry out vital research and conservation work, both in-house, within the UK and right across the world.

We are more than just a tourist attraction. We are "for the oceans, for their future".

The Deep's aim is to help raise public awareness of marine conservation issues of national and global significance. We are passionate about protecting the oceans and the species that live within it, our projects all focus on the aquatic environment. From protecting endangered penguins in Antarctica, to monitoring Manta Ray populations in the Red Sea or safeguarding the future of endangered animals, The Deeps dedicated team of Aquarists continue to carry out pioneering work.

Parisian Victor Douieb has been passionate about sharks since his first deep sea dive when he was 18 years old.

Captivated by their power, grace and beauty, Victor began sculpting sharks as a means of expressing his appreciation of this perfectly evolved creature's pure simplicity, but also to help bring attention to the impact that overfishing and the needless slaughter by the shark fin industry is posing to shark populations worldwide.
